Do I need a home inspection first?No. A home inspection is not required as a condition to purchase the Home Warranty plan. Doesn't my homeowners insurance policy cover my heating and other systems?A typical homeowners policy does not insure against the breakdown of systems and appliances. What happens if my covered refrigerator breaks down and is beyond repair?If your plan includes your refrigerator as a covered item, the plan will replace your refrigerator with a new one of like kind and quality. The home I'm buying is 60 years old. Can I still purchase a home protection plan?The age of your house does not matter. Home Warranty will still cover the systems and appliances within the home regardless of age. I have manufacturer's warranties for my appliances. Why would I buy a home warranty protection plan?Manufacturer's warranties have expiration dates and they don't repair appliances after that date. A home warranty protection plan would repair or replace a covered appliance no matter how long you've owned it. Do I pay a service fee for each visit?Yes. Each time a service technician comes to your home to repair or replace an appliance or system an economical service fee of $45 is due regardless of the actual expense. In addition, there is no limit to the number of covered repairs we'll pay for. When does coverage begin and how long is the contract?Coverage for your home's major systems and appliances begins upon receipt of funds and the coverage lasts for one year. |
